Nishioka Dental Clinic in Neyagawa City, Osaka, has been in operation for more than 20 years.
In addition to cavity and periodontal treatment, they also offer pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and implant treatment. They have a reputation for advanced technology and patient-oriented hospitality, drawing many patients who may travel long distances to the clinic.
Common issues
The clinic is located far from the station, and most people come to the clinic by motorcycle, bicycle, or car. The parking lot in front of the building sometimes caused inconvenience as visitors had to back out after going all the way into the parking lot when it was full.

Solution
In conjunction with the construction of Parking Lot No. 2 and the addition of new dental chairs at the end of 2022, a parking occupancy signboard was installed at the entrance for smoother patient parking.Vehicle detection sensors installed in all eight parking spaces send parking occupancy information to the gateway to provide real-time information on parking availability via the roadside parking occupancy signboard.
The clinic chose an original parking occupancy signboard design that features a tooth to indicate open spaces. In addition to preventing entry into the clinic parking lot after hours, the indicator is unique and specifically related to Nishioka Dental Clinic.

Effect
Theparking occupancy signboard makes it possible to check parking availability from the road, smoothly directing visitors to Parking Lot No. 2 without having to enter Parking Lot No. 1 when it is full.
Optex’s wireless parking occupancy management system helps ensure a more convenient parking experience for patients visiting the clinic.
Comment from the designer/installer
Our company handles everything from sales and installation of parking-related equipment to consigned management and operation of parking facilities.
We installed and set up OPTEX wireless vehicle detection sensors, gateway, and parking occupancy signboard at Nishioka Dental Clinic. We had heard about OPTEX battery-powered wireless vehicle detection sensors and how easy they were to install, so we were interested in using them.
It only took us about five hours to install all eight sensors, the gateway, and the parking occupancy signboard. I was very satisfied with the efficiency of the entire process—from installation to checking operation—which required only two workers.
