Why has Optex adopted mainly infrared technologies for automatic door sensors?

We recommend Activation&Safety Sensors that use near infrared rays. OA-203C, HORIZON and i-sensor are typical examples.

The sensors in this category are equipped with a presence detection feature on the first and second rows (or on the first row only) of the detection area. The function enables persons standing near the door to be detected, creating a safe and comfortable environment around the door.
