Vehicle Detection Sensor for gate

There are mainly 3 different types of barrier, slide and swing gate in this market. Barrier gate uses 2 ground loops, 1st for activation and 2nd for vehicle-protection from barrier.Slide and Swing gates use more than 3 ground loops for activation and vehicle-protection.

Ground loop is reliable and traditional sensing device, but it has to dig driveway to install it. Also once it is damaged, it is a hassle to reinstall the ground loop. Sometimes it requires a couple of days to install and the lane has to be closed which slows down the business for the facility.

OPTEX vehicle sensor which uses Microwave and Ultrasonic sensing technology could work similar to ground loop.

It can be installed on a post or a gate operator, so no hassle to dig driveway.
Also it could ignore most of people traffic and detect vehicle reliably.
