Optex sensing technology focuses on the entire system. It converts the information detected by the sensors into an optimal signal, which it then uses to communicate and connect to other devices.
Our sensing technology considers the compatibility with other devices that have more than just an on/off contact point. It is used to actualize an array of solutions developed by our customers.

The Origin of Optex—Infrared

In 1980, Optex became the first company in the world to commercialize automatic door sensors by applying far infrared rays used in the medical and military fields. So you could say infrared is the origin of Optex.

Optex has developed original sensing algorithms that control physical changes. These algorithms ensure reliable and stable detection even in environments filled with numerous factors that may interfere with sensor-based detection, such as sunlight, plants, swaying curtains, and radio waves.
