The OPTEX OA-FLEX T# is the new door sensor standard for use on automatic sliding doors. The OA-FLEX T# combines activation and safety functions into one sensor based on the OPTEX full active infrared technology. The sensor also has a unique “BLUEZONE™” lookback function for additional safety in the threshold.

The OPTEX OA-FLEX T# is purely based on the active infrared technique, combining activation and safety into one sensor. By using the unique OPTEX presence detection technique the OA-FLEX T# provides maximum safety around the threshold while simultaneously providing a large motion detection area for door activation. - BLUEZONE™ Technology
The presence detection area in the OA-FLEX T# consists of three rows: two rows in front of the door and an additional BLUEZONE™ row that looks into the threshold.
As soon as the doors start to open the BLUEZONE™ activates and adds an additional row of active infrared. All three rows will be active when someone or something is within the threshold area for as long as the presence timer is set. When the area is safe the doors will start to close again. The BLUEZONE™ recognizes the door movement and will automatically shut off. - Easy Adjustment
Installation time can be minimized using the easily set switches and trimmers, meaning the sensor can be quickly adjusted for many different applications to modify the presence detection area.

* The actual detection area may be different depending on the ambient light, the color / material of the object or the floor as well as the entry speed of the object.
* The sensor may not be activated when the entering speed of the object or a person is slower than 50 mm (2'') /sec. or faster than 1500 mm (4'11'') /sec.
Swing door
When using for swing door, set the detection area and dipswitches as below.
- Set the detection area slightly narrower than the door width not to detect door itself.
- Set dipswitch 12 to "All rows" to comply with ANSI standard.
- Set dipswitch 15 to "OFF" not to detect door itself.
