Beginning of Demonstration Project for Localization of Simple Aquaculture Water Quality Monitoring Service in Thailand

Picked Up by JETRO’s “Asia Digital Transformation (ADX) Projects”

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has started a support project for DX (Digital Transformation) projects in collaboration with Japanese and ASEAN companies, and has decided to adopt 23 demonstration projects. On this occasion Optex’s “Demonstration Project for IoT-Based Simple Water Quality Meter Monitoring Service in Thai Aquaculture” was selected as one of them.
Aquaculture is an important export industry for Thailand, which has caused conservation of the fishing ground environment, improvement of quality, and improvement of productivity to become major issues. By utilizing our sensing technology and IoT, the water quality, which changes day by day, can be monitored in real time. Based on the knowledge of the water quality this provides, the timing of the administration of feed and medicine, as well as the amount of oxygen, can be controlled. Through this demonstration project, we aim to improve the water environment and productivity, and to support the stable operation of the aquaculture industry.
In addition, we will establish a DX-based Water Quality Analysis Service, and use it to promote a safe water environment and to improve the production efficiency of water quality management, with a view to expanding not only to Thailand but also to other countries such as India and the rest of ASEAN.
